Crash Alert: 3 hurt in crash caused by red light runner in South Omaha
SOUTH OMAHA, NE – Three people were injured in a crash caused by a red light runner in South Omaha Saturday, according to KETV.
The collision happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of South 24th Street and Vinton Street. The driver of a 2024 Toyota Prius proceeded through the intersection on a red light and crashed into a 2009 Chevy Impala. Omaha police said the Chevy was going south and the Toyota was going east when the two vehicles collided.
Two occupants in the Chevy were left with serious injuries, and the Toyota driver with minor injuries.
The Toyota driver is expected to face charges, police confirmed.
