Crash alert: 19-year-old motorcyclist dead after crash with SUV in Lincoln

LINCOLN, NE – A young man was killed when his motorcycle collided with an SUV in Lincoln Wednesday night, according to KOLN.

Police and emergency crews were dispatched to the scene in the area of 27th Street and Tierra Drive after the incident was reported at about 9:30 p.m. Investigators said a 19-year-old driving a motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of an SUV that was making a turn onto Tierra Drive.

The motorcyclist, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

The driver of the SUV, an 18-year-old female, was interviewed by Lincoln police officers as part of their investigation.  The area of the crash remained closed Thursday morning as police continued to gather evidence.
