Crash Alert: Hit-and-run crash sends 2 to hospital in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – A hit-and-run driver was responsible for running a stop sign and causing a crash that sent two people to a hospital Saturday.
Omaha police told WOWT that the collision occurred after 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of S 31st Ave & Jackson St, which is in the Leavenworth area. There, the hit-and-run driver, operating a 2010 Hyundai Elantra, ran a stop sign and crashed into a 2017 Hyundai Elantra.
The driver of the 2010 Hyundai Elantra did not render aid to their passenger and the occupants of the other Hyundai and fled the scene on foot.
EMS personnel rushed to the scene and transported the driver of the 2017 Hyundai, a 33-year-old adult, and the passenger of the 2010 Hyundai, a 32-year-old adult, to a hospital.
The 33-year-old adult sustained minor injuries, while the 32-year-old adult’s current physical condition remains unknown.
