Crash Alert: Man fatally collides with multiple poles near Churchich Park

OMAHA, NE – According to WOWT, a man died following a single-vehicle collision near A St and 50th St on Sunday.

Donald Hanes, 59, was driving a white Chevy Traverse north on 50th Street around 10 p.m. when he strayed off the road and hit a wooden utility pole before slamming into a metal utility pole. Hanes was not wearing a seatbelt.

First responders transported Hanes to an area hospital, where he died.

The Omaha Police Department is investigating the incident.
