Crash Alert: Elderly man dies following 3-vehicle wreck in Freemont
FREMONT, NE – According to WOWT, an 80-year-old man died in a three-vehicle collision at Luther Rd and US 30 on Friday.
Leonard Nielsen, 80, was driving a red GMC pickup truck south on Luther Rd when he crossed US 30 and collided with an eastbound Mustang around 4:20 p.m.
The collision sent the pickup truck into a ditch. The Mustang then hit a GMC Yukon.
First responders transported Nielsen to an area hospital, where he died.
Authorities do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the collision.
