Crash Alert: 1 dead following crash on I-80 near Gothenburg

GOTHENBURG, IA – One person died following a single-vehicle crash on I-82 near mile marker 211 on Friday, according to KOLN.

Joseph Dodson, 53, was driving a Ford pickup truck west on I-80 when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled over, ejecting Dodson from the vehicle.

Dodson’s passenger and a trooper performed life-saving measures on Dodson until paramedics arrived. They transported him to an area hospital, where he died. They also took the passenger to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
