The crash occurred on Interstate 80 near the Greenwood exit at about 8:20 a.m. The sheriff’s office said 20-year-old Chaz Clark was driving a Honda Accent eastbound on I-80 when the car went off the roadway, into the median, jumped a creek and overturned.
Clark, a Bennington resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Speed was believed to have been a contributing factor in the accident, according to investigators.
