BENNINGTON, NE – An accident involving two vehicles in Douglas County Thursday night sent seven people to area hospitals, the Omaha World-Herald reports.
First responders arrived on the scene of the crash in the area of 147th Street and State Street near Bennington at about 7 p.m.
One of the injured was listed in critical condition at Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy. Five other people were listed in serious condition.
WOWT reported that the injured were all teenagers. The report said the accident happened when one car with six teens inside overcorrected after leaving its lane and collided head-on with another vehicle driven by a teen.
