Crash Alert: Driver hits, critically injures motorcyclist near Stonybrook

OMAHA, NE – A motorcyclist was injured in a two-vehicle collision near S 156th St and Berry St Wednesday night, according to WOWT.

A 47-year-old person driving a Chevy Silverado was heading north on 156th St when they collided with a 26-year-old motorcyclist traveling south and about to turn left onto Berry St at 9:18 p.m.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and became trapped underneath the Silverado.

Both vehicles caught on fire after the collision. The Silverado driver and their three passengers exited the vehicle without injury.

Rescue crews transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital in critical condition.

Authorities took the Silverado driver to headquarters to be texted for DUI.

Witnesses at the scene say the motorcyclist did not have their headlights on.
