Crash Alert: 2 dead in semi-truck collision on US 75 near Nebraska City
NEBRASKA CITY, NE – According to KOLN, an adult man and a boy died following a fatal semi-truck collision on US 75 between County Road P and County Road Q Thursday night.
Alvin Sobbing, 70, was driving a pickup truck south on US 75 when he strayed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a semi-truck operated by a 39-year-old man around 9 p.m.
First responders pronounced Sobbing and his 12-year-old male passenger dead at the scene. The semi-truck driver was uninjured.
The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office, the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office, and the Nebraska State Patrol are investigating the incident.
