Crash Alert: Deputies investigate 2-vehicle accident in Stanton County

STANTON COUNTY, NE – According to KTIV, the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle collision at Nebraska 35 and 844th Road on Thursday morning.

McKenzie Carpenter, 22, was driving a Mustang SUV when she turned onto Nebraska 35 and collided with a northbound Honda Accord operated by Heather Lenox around 7:53 a.m.

The collision sent the Accord crashing into a ditch and caused the SUV to spin backwards.

First responders extricated the Honda driver from her vehicle. Both drivers were hospitalized.

Crews shut down the area to process the scene for around 45 minutes.
