Crash Alert: 1 dead in 2-vehicle collision in downtown Lincoln
LINCOLN, NE – A person died Sunday following a fatal two-vehicle collision in downtown Lincoln that happened on April 7, according to KOLN.
A woman was driving a Toyota RAV 4 east on P Street when she ran a red light at North 17th Street and P Street around 12:57 p.m. and collided with a northbound Subaru Crosstrek operated by James Hendrick, 77.
The collision caused the Subaru to crash into a post in front of the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union.
First responders transported both drivers to area hospitals, where Hedrick died Sunday.
An autopsy will be performed to determine Hedrick’s cause of death.
Citations are pending against the woman.
